And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. -Acts 2:42-45 ESV
Every week, members gather in homes throughout the city to encourage one another, serve the city, and enjoy life together. These small groups are called "missional communities" and they are the lifeblood of Covenant Community Church. Missional communities are made up of 6-8 families who gather regularly to eat, learn, pray, and be together on mission where they live. Basically, this is where the truth heard and sung on Sunday is lived out in real and tangible ways.
Missional communities meet at different times and different places. If you're interested in joining one, ask a member on Sunday or contact us.
